Dr. Ted Nyquist MD, chose a rather circuitous route to get to McMinnville in 1993. He chose family medicine because of the challenge and variety it offers in treating an array of age groups. He loves the Yamhill Valley because it’s so beautiful and offers easy access to the mountains and the coast.

Board Certified American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Hyder’s goal with her patients is simple. She does not only want to heal people, but also simplify the process of explaining the complexities of medicine, which at times can be very hard to understand. Her approach with communicating with her patients follows suite. She is known for her quick knowledge as well as her ability to have honest discussions with her patients, even when more research is needed. If she does not know the answer, you can bet that she will find it. Her desire to heal people started with her Undergrad at Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA where she received a bachelor’s in science, comprehensive in 1998. She attended medical school not much farther at Temple University of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA earning the title of MD. After her internship at Montgomery Family Medicine in Norristown, PA she found herself on the west coast at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. The west coast was lucky enough to keep her and she has built a life here instilling herself in the community for the past 16 years, 14 of them being here at West Hills Healthcare. She and her husband Todd, who is a local dentist, enjoy chasing their three kids, watching their activities, golfing, and traveling. They especially love to travel back to extended family in Pennsylvania.
